Inner work for outer success

Hey Friend,

Steph here. Woo hoo!

I know success can look so bright, shiny, and sometimes effortless but I’ll tell you a secret. It can be those things but lately, it hasn't.

This whole year I’ve been in a big dark funk.

Things that excited me no longer did, I felt heavy, my meditation practice was cloudy, I cried to my fiance way too many times and was unhappy with how things were going on in my career. I’m really good at acting like everything's okay but for once in my life, I didn’t want to act anymore.

I was tired of feeling empty, so I hired a LIFE COACH!

Yes, some of you may be thinking... What the heck is a life coach?
And why do you need help with that?
I didn’t know exactly what I needed but I knew I didn’t need a therapist (not yet at least) but I needed someone to dig deeper within me and find where I was disconnected in my life.

I won’t go into too much detail about what we uncovered because some things should remain private and not blasted in an email or social media. I will say though when we discovered what had been holding me back all these years it was HUGE.

I knew I had this pain in me for years but couldn’t describe it. Talking about it with my life coach felt like I gained 10 years of my life back and a newfound clarity.

Well, if you don’t know me I love lists….so this angel/life coach gave me the following to do:
 1. Connect with my inner child - This is a deep assignment.
2. Commit to dancing to 1 song a day - FUN!
3. Journal more with a fresh perspective.
4. Divine Gratitude 5X daily “I’m grateful for my cold drinking water.” Simple things.
5. Find a swing and play: I haven’t found a swing that wasn’t occupied with kids :(

My reason for sharing this is the hope that you can grab just one of these items and incorporate them into your daily life & bring a bit of brightness into your day.
